Autor scenáru filmov ako Armageddon, Forever Young (Navždy mladý) a Regarding Henry (Myslite na Henryho), Abrams, sa do filmov zamiloval už keď mal osem rokov, keď ho jeho starý otec vzal na prehliadku štúdií Universal.
